Flash Parker / Professional Photographer in Sheridan, Wyoming

I am a writer and photographer originally from Toronto, Canada. In a former life I was a screenwriter (my film credits include Wireless and I Hate Dating) and author (Night Has Fallen was released in 2008), while I currently
spend most of my time on the road as a photojournalist and wedding photographer.

My work has been published by GQ Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, AFAR Magazine, Lonely Planet, USA Today, Travel Talk, Voyeur Magazine, American Way Magazine, Reader’s
Digest, Vaacations + Travel, Get Lost Magazine, South East Asia Backpacker, Asian Geographic, American Cowboy, Escape Magazine, Getty Images, and more; additionally, I was nominated for a PATA
Gold Award in destination journalism (though I lost in record fashion).

I have worked on assignment in over 40 countries for more than 30 magazines. USA Today trusted me enough to send me on assignment for their prestigious Go Escape travel magazine– without telling me where I
was going until I got to the airport. GQ Magazine digs my style enough to ask me what I do for fun in strange places, while a lot of my other clients just hope I don’t get lost or eaten by a bear every time they send me on the road.

My editorial and commercial work has helped me become adept at telling stories with my camera - a skill I apply to every wedding and
engagement session that I shoot. I’ve shot big weddings in Canada, and USA, small weddings in South Korea, and Jamaica, and private
ceremonies in places like Vietnam and Thailand.

I never really know where the next story will take me, and that’s just the way I like it. I live for life on the road.
